“Savannah es una ciudad encantadora y este alojamiento hace honor a la ciu dad: su ubicación, la arquitectura y la decoración de la casa nos encantó, baños y cocina impecables, una buena cama para descansar, 100% recomendada.”

“All was great except the weather, which was extremely cold (22 degrees two or three nights in a row). Because of that, the house was also cold for two days. But, since it’s rarely that cold in Savannah, you shouldn’t pass up on this house. It’s so very charming, well equipped, very clean, and comfortable. We walked everywhere. We also dined at several of the recommended restaurants, and they were all wonderful. Vic’s was our favorite with Fox and Fig a close second.”

“Me, my husband and a friend really enjoyed our week stay at Jingle Bell Square house. JBH is well appointed, spacious and comfortable, which was especially appreciated when we returned from sightseeing each day. We chose this house because of it’s location in the Historic District, which really gave us a feel for old Savannah, and allowed us to walk to several places of interest. Only down side of the location was having to pay attention to the street parking situation (metered on one side, street sweeping closures) but we were able to find a spot every time we needed one. What stands out to me about this rental was the excellent communication with both the owner and the host – not only was the response time to my inquiries prompt, both went above and beyond to answer my questions, suggest places of interest, offer alternatives and welcome us to the city. Well done!”

“This was our first visit of any length to Savannah. The Jingle Bell House was the absolute perfect location to explore all of the historic district without ever moving our car from the parking location. The home itself was well appointed, provided lots of space and all the items needed for our stay. The only downfall for us “seasoned/aging” visitors was the bedrooms being located on the second floor, but thankfully the stairs are carpeted and banisters provided assistance in “pulling” heavier suitcases up to the second floor. Thanks to Richards for a lovely location and to the property hosts next door who greeted us and provided guidance in how best to explore the area!”

Relaxing

Linda B – Toledo, OH

(Review Submitted: October 23, 2022. Date of Stay: October 2022)

“This place was easy walking to Historic Downtown. The screened in back porch was a great place to unwind and relax. Interior was clean and found no issues with the house. I didn’t realize that I shared a backyard with the cottage so when I was on the back porch reading and had someone walk through I was a little surprised but it wasn’t an issue. If I come to Savannah again I would definitely stay again.”

“Home is beautifully restored and is close to the Trolley and Free Bus Shuttle near many beautiful squares and historic sites. We walked or shuttled almost everywhere since we flew in and didn’t rent a car. Very doable from this home’s location. Really enjoyed the screened in back porch. Kitchen is well appointed for making meals if you choose. Attentive property manager. Great stay!”

“Don’t hesitate to book this place! It’s got everything you need – lots of space, walkable to everything in the historic district, free parking, and seriously, the cleanest airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. We loved relaxing on the back porch in the evenings and strolling through the lovely nearby Savannah streets – historic Savannah is right out the front door! Richards is the best kind of host, we had a plumbing issue and he and neighbor Pam had it solved in no time with no drama. We’d give them more than 5 stars if we could!”

“We had an ideal stay at this property! The check-in was super easy, the house is in the ideal location for a Savannah visit, and the property manager was delightful. The house is beautiful, with wood flooring and high ceilings. It was impeccably clean with ample towels and toilet paper in each bathroom. The kitchen is equipped if you’re looking to cook meals in. We felt at home but better. We were walking distance from the main attractions of Savannah and had no problem getting around. The property manager checked in and helped us out so much. We were so grateful to have her so close by! Don’t hesitate to stay here.”

“Extremely convenient to the history in Savannah, and a quiet neighborhood. If you are here for the party, not your place, check River Rd. Very nice amenities. “Old Town Trolley” has a stop 2 blocks away, and worth an investment for a weekend of history and family fun. With some places asking more from the renter, they only ask you to reset the thermostats to non-used temperatures.”

AirBnB Review from Mousamoi

(Review Submitted: July 5, 2022. Date of Stay: July 2022)

“Firstly the host and the property manager have really taken a lot of effort to ensure that guests love the place and have a nice vacation. The intent is that guests have a good time rather than just renting it for the money. The place is squeaky clean!! It’s probably the first bnb where I felt like they actually use the cleaning fee to get it professionally cleaned. Secondly the directions, information, communication was bang on. Thirdly the location is great. Once you park, you are set. No need to take the car out to see historic Savannah. The most important thing is that they have thought of everything the guests could need and kept there..since we have an infant we suddenly needed a few things like disposable plates and to go boxes to take her food and it was all there. I am very apprehensive to see kitchen vessels and napkins as I am normally not sure how clean they here…but in this house, it was different…it was all clean so we could use both. The property manager is a sweet lady who came by to say Hi. Lastly, the house is a historic home so has a lot of historical decor pieces. All and all , a great stay and nothing to complain about.”

AirBnB Review from Don

“The Jingle Bells House is an awesome house. They stock it with everything that you need. It is close to everything and all is in walking distance in Historic Savannah! The beds were all very comfortable. As well there are TV’s in all bedrooms and dining and living room as well! The outside back screened in porch is a nice bonus area as is the back yard. Loved the keyless option as well for entry. lastly, the multiple bathrooms was great for a family of four! When in Savannah, this is a great house to rent!”

Great place in the heart of Savannah

Louis H – Kennesaw, GA

(Review Submitted: May 18, 2022. Date of Stay: May 2022)

“This is a fantastic alternative to the more costly hotels in town. There’s quite a few boutique hotels as well as the riverfront locations that are charging around $250-300 per night. For right about the same money, instead of a cramped hotel room, you get a two-floor house to yourself! Great location for writers, working professionals, etc. The property has two bedrooms equipped with a large queen and two twin beds. There are two bathrooms upstairs and a half bath on the first floor. The house is well equipped, providing a great work space, a good eating space, full kitchen, screened porch and small garden out back. Positives: – Great water pressure – a highly overlooked benefit – Cable TV (no paid channels, though, so entertainment can be on personal devices or likely linked to the TV. We did not test this.) – Strong Wifi – suited all our needs including streaming, video conferencing, etc – Great location – seated at the edge of the historic district, there’s a lot within walking distance. However, everything is pretty much in a 5 minute drive from the property and things like the riverwalk, Pirate’s House and slightly outlying attractions are about 10 minutes drive. – Clean – it’s the cleanest property I’ve ever been in. – Eclectic charm – I would describe the theming in the house as post-modern art meets folk art and crashes headlong into country house design. I prefer houses with character. – Heating/AC are perfect and it appears that for the colder months, that gas fireplaces can be lit, but check with property manager. It was 88 while we were there, so we did not use them. – Property Manager – Pam is awesome. Everything is well organized in the house and explanations are everywhere. Pam called us as we arrived and answered last-minute questions. Negatives – (highly subjective as to how negative) – No condiments, not even sugar, salt or pepper. That’s not so much as a negative as it is a warning. However, Parker’s is not far and it’s open 24 hours. – STAIRS – If you are not a fan of stairs OR are mobility impaired, this is not the house for you. – Parking – Parking was free as long as we parked on the South side of the street, but it was crowded at times. This is not going to get better as Savannah is trying to move all street parking to be meterered/pay parking to generate revenue without raising taxes. Be sure to lock your vehicle.”

“Not a negative thing to say..most likely one of the best places I’ve stayed! When it says “fully stocked”, it’s more than fully stocked. Extra linens, paper towels, toilet paper were available if needed. Any kitchen amenities you could want, and plenty of them. Such a beautiful property and really captured that historic Savannah vibe. The property manager, who we were able to meet, was super nice! And extra bonus points for check out procedures—we pay a cleaning fee for a reason, and we had very little required upon leaving (although we still couldn’t let go of the habit to tidy up a bit!). Thanks again, and would definitely choose to stay here again.”

Gorgeous and livable!

Julie P – Cincinnati, OH

(Review Submitted: April 23, 2022. Date of Stay: April 2022)

“This charming historical home has been beautifully renovated so all the annoying parts of an old home are gone and all the lovely grace remains. Vintage flooring, tall windows, and high ceilings recall Savannah’s past, but a full modern kitchen and 2.5 baths, as well as TVs and decent wifi mean the modern visitor won’t miss a bit of the 21st century. It’s filled with quirky art and helpful instructions on everything from how to work the TV (an annoying absence in most vacation rentals) to where you’ll find the closest liquor store. Both the heat and the AC work well (we had 50 degree nights and 75 degree days during our visit) and the location, on a leafy street with free parking on the south side was ideal. We loved the screened porch for an afternoon novel and glass of wine, and it was convenient to have the friendly property manager, Pam, right next store. Plus it had two qualities I always look for in a VRBO–wall hooks for towels and clothes, and plenty of task lighting. Truly one of the best VRBOs in which I’ve stayed.”

“A friend and I were in for the Savannah Womens Half Marathon. The home was simply perfect! Walking distance to everything….Forsyth Park (the race’s start/finish area) and the downtown historic district. The street is quiet and lined with the cutest homes. We literally left our car parked outside the house and walked everywhere. The only time we moved it was for a day trip to Tybee Island and when we, sadly, had to leave town at the end of our runcation. Highly recommend!”

“We’re a group of 4 adults, visiting Savannah for our friend’s wedding. I booked months ahead, and owners were very communicative from start to end. I received check-in info the week before the start of our stay via email. Local property manager also phoned in a welcome call upon our arrival. 1st class service, easy check-in/check-out, nothing crazy to do. Location is slightly further away from the busiest part of historic downtown, but still very walkable (about 20 minutes from City Market). Love the fact that we could just park our cars on the street in front of the property (it was free starting Friday at 5pm thru the rest of the weekend) and walked everywhere. Plenty of dining options nearby. 2.5 bathrooms meant we could all get ready at the same time for the wedding. Everything you need for a short or long stay was there – we didn’t cook, but we heat up leftovers, and that kitchen is top notch! Washer & dryer are available for use. While we didn’t wash clothes, we’re glad we had a dryer since one of us spilled water all over his pants right before wedding time and we were able to dry it in time. Can’t say enough good things about this property. 100% recommend! Thanks for hosting us.”

“Our ten night stay at Jingle Bells House was …. well, delightful! The property is very clean and well maintained, walkable to all of historic Savannah and best of all has a screened back porch! The only thing that would have enhanced our stay: a ceiling fan on the back porch. Nevertheless we braved the August heat and humidity to enjoy daily sits on the porch when we weren’t out enjoying/exploring Savannah. Many thanks to Pam, the property manager, for checking in with us and answering our questions. Hoping to return soon”

“Great location and beautiful house! If you’ve never been to Savannah then trust me, Harris street is the ideal location. It’s a straight shot to everything you’re going to be walking to on a daily basis, and is no more than a three minute walk to Troup square, which marks the edge of the historic district. Parking was NOT a problem either by the house at all. Great property. If we go back to Savannah I won’t consider anywhere else.”

“What a spectacular stay we had! Communication was great, self check-in was easy, and the place is even better than it looks in the listing. So clean, well appointed, spacious, comfortable, and quite. Nicely updated and we’ll organized. Even the light switches are labeled, so no guessing. Parking is easy and everything is easily walkable from here. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. This is a gracious property thT we will try to book again the next time we come to Savannah. Our favorite feature? The screen porch overlooking the peaceful courtyard.”

“Clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen and good location. Both bedrooms are upstairs, if that is a concern. The screened porch is a gem! Made the morning coffee even better when drank on the porch. One note, no luggage stands upstairs in the bedrooms so maybe grab a stool from downstairs. We would absolutely recommend the place and would gladly return on our next visit to Savnnah.”

“Great little place in Savannah! Check in was super easy and the property manager reached out to us just after check-in. Everything was as advertised. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Very clean and relaxing! Only downfall would be that the pullout couch bed kept losing its air from the topper. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Savannah. I would stay again myself!”

“All the reviews are accurate on this one…Great location in the Historic District near Troup Square that is walkable to everywhere you want to go in Downtown Savannah..Fantastic House that has been furnished nicely with all the owner’s antique finds over the years and all the modern upgrades are there as well in the kitchen..bathrooms..electronics..lights..etc..All the extras you don’t find in most rentals are there as well like fully stocked kitchen..cleaning and laundry supplies…tools..stationary products..etc..If you do figure out something they don’t have the On Site Property Manager Pam is only one door down and she takes care of all problems immediately..Owner was quick with communication and has a bunch of Savannah Information provided at the house along with instructions on how to operate everything.Another thing I liked was that the house was a couple blocks outside The Historical District which meant non-metered parking on street which was readily available and no hordes of tourists walking by all day and night like places in the middle of the district deal with 24/7..It’s on a quiet residential street…You can’t go wrong booking this unit for your trip and you won’t need your car again until you leave”

“This was our second time to stay in the Jingle Bells Square House and it was as wonderful this time as the last time. The owner and property manager are easy to work with and available if you need them. The house was very clean, was within walking distance to most of the things we needed, and just perfect for us. There were 4 of us, so the 2 bedrooms, which had their own bath, were used by 3 of us as one of the bedrooms had twin beds – perfect. I slept on the pull out sofa downstairs which had an air mattress that was easy to use and very comfortable. There is also a half bath downstairs. The kitchen is very modern and equipped with all the dishes, pots & pans, and silverware that you need. As we stayed for 9 days, we also utilized the washer & dryer that were upstairs. That was a life saver as we didn’t have to pack so many clothes. Those airline baggage fees are getting ridiculous! Overall, this is a great house and exactly where I will stay if I get to come back to Savannah in the future. I highly recommend it.”

“This house was perfect for our family of 4… our kids preferred to sleep on couch bed than upstairs. The house had everything we needed. It was close to many restaurants and Historic homes. It wasn’t a terrible walk to river street either. Only negative was the birds chirping at 7am outside master bedroom so we didn’t get to sleep in as much as I would have liked but it gave us more time to explore. All in all I would recommend this property and we would stay here again.”

We literally were able to walk to all the places we wanted to visit. “We had a wonderful experience! The property manager reached out to us day of arrival. When she discovered we wouldn’t arrive until very late in the night she went over to the property to turn some lights on so that we wouldn’t enter a dark house. I was a little concerned about parking but there was AlWAYS plenty of street parking available plus Savannah is best experienced on foot. The home was as described – clean and very comfortable. The location was so convenient! It was easily walkable to just about anywhere downtown but if your feet are tired the free bus stops one block away. We will definitely stay again if available on our next trip!

“We had a fantastic family visit to Savannah and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The Jingle Bells Square house was perfect for our family of four (especially with the single beds!). The location was perfect – close enough to walk or ride bikes most everywhere, yet on a quiet street with easy parking (there was a fair amount of construction noise in the alley behind the house, though obviously through no fault of the owners). Hands down the favorite part of the house (besides the incredibly high ceilings, which we loved) was the inviting and large screened-in porch. We had our coffee there every morning, played games in the evening, and even sat out there during a severe rain storm one afternoon. Beds were super comfortable, linens & towels were provided, and the desk area really came in handy. We would absolutely stay here again.

We were impressed. The house was comfortable and met the needs of three generations.

“We all, three generations, enjoyed this beautiful home – TVs in all rooms – 2 baths upstairs and one downstairs. Washer and Dryer helped. We were able to walk easily to most restaurants or catch the “NO FARE” DOT trolley which would take us to our various destinations. The nice kitchen with large table accommodated the six of us easily. The back porch was lovely, and the few questions we had were answered very quickly. The cozy fireplaces were nice as well. We would highly recommend.”

“In Savannah for the Food and Wine Festival, where the week’s events were all over town. Location of the house was such that the longest walk we had was 25 minutes – perfect! We didn’t have to drive anywhere if we didn’t want to. The house itself is very spacious and nicely done. Very, very clean (thank you!) and comfortable. Plenty of instructions so you don’t have to fight too much to make the tv(s) work or figure out which light switch went to which light. Loved having the cd player, you don’t find that often in a VRBO. Appreciated having a separate space to set up the laptop! For the 5 nights we were there, I wouldn’t say there was “ample” parking, but we always found a spot close by. Pat, the owner, lives nearby and checked in on us when we first arrived. After that first introduction we felt we could call her with any questions or issues. A great place to stay in Savannah! The price typically beats any city hotel, plus you have the luxury of space! This will be our go-to for any future trips to Savannah.”

“Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Jingle Bells Square House to explore Savannah and the college our daughter is very interested in there! The house is charming and lovely and in excellent proximity to everything in town. Supplies are easy to find, things in the house clearly labeled, and lots of information is provided – we used the recommendations for nearby shops and restaurants with no trouble. Helpful and courteous communication from the owners before and after our stay, and a prompt call from the property manager the day we arrived. We enjoy having a home base when traveling – we can watch a movie, use the kitchen, or sit on the screen porch when it’s too rainy to go out, and this home was excellent for all our needs! We would certainly recommend it, and would definitely consider staying again when we’re back in the area.”

The house is beautiful. We wanted to live there. We are a family with 2 teens. We had so much space. It was so well equipped too, like everything had been thought of. The beds are so comfy, we all slept really well. The road is lovely and quiet and so beautiful. We are from the UK and it was just as I hoped Savannah would be : ) We had booked the Trolley Tours to get about and got our first one by the Cathedral just 5 mins walk away. There is a little cafe opposite ‘Mirabelle Cafe’ where we had breakfast waffles and coffee. The perfect start to the day. I can’t wait to come back to Savannah and stay here again and explore more. “Jingle Bells Square House met all our expectations for our recent reunion of friends and family in Savannah. As my best friend from high school stated: “What a joy to vacation in a truly beautiful place, filled with art and artisanship.” We enjoyed cooking great food in the wonderful kitchen, nibbling on appetizers on the screened porch, and hanging out in the dining room watching movies after dinner. Within walking distance of so many of the beautiful squares, lovely shops and galleries, and great restaurants, we found the location perfect. Having stayed in the cottage on a previous trip, the house did not disappoint. We will be back, but are hesitant to share this gem with too many people, because we fear it will be booked solid for years to come!”

“The house Oscar adorable, very nicely furnished and the kitchen is incredible. Much fancier than in a typical rental. Of course we never cooked since thre were so many amazing restaurants in Savannah. Free parking on the street, we never moved the car as we walked everywhere. The only negative is the house is listed for 6 people. We had six but we were charged an additional cleaning fee because we had six people. That was odd to me, I was told it was for laundry but there weren’t enough towels for 6 women and no blankets for the couch bed. We found twin blankets that worked so it was fine but be aware if you book for 6. Over all a great rental and I definitely recommend it. The back porch and patio is adorable too. “This was the best rental home I have stayed in! I’ve never been in a house that was so fully stocked and prepared for visitors. From a full set of dishes to all kinds of pots, pans, and cooking utensils to laundry detergent, we had everything we needed already at the house. Not to mention it was tastefully decorated and the kitchen was updated as well. It was comfortable for 5 adults to stay in. The location was super easy for us to walk downtown and not have to worry about parking anywhere. I loved the quiet neighborhood as well. I will definitely book this house again the next time I visit Savannah!”

“This house is the perfect location for walking to the historic district. The owner provides detailed information about shops, markets and restaurants within walking distance. The back porch was the perfect place to sit and have a beverage after a day of walking, and quite peaceful while enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. The beds are comfortable and the house is well appointed. The owner is quite communicative and quick to answer questions. I would highly recommend this property.”

Highly recommend this Owner and this Property

Julie N. – Duluth, Georgia

(Review Submitted: July 25, 2017. Date of Stay: July 2017)

“This is a beautiful home, gleaming hardwood floors and lots
of light. If you have an appreciation for art you will enjoy
collections of prints, sculptures and furnishings, all displayed in a
comfortable and casual home. Located a couple of blocks from one
of Savannah’s many parks, it’s located on a quiet street with
parking just outside the door. It’s an easy walk to River Street,
Forsyth Park, SCAD, anywhere in the Historic District. Unfortunately, while we were there the AC stopped working. Action was swiftly taken. When it was determined not to be a quick fix, the owners and house manager found us other accommodations for the night–a larger, grander home. We loved Jingle Bells and hated to leave it, but were impressed by the quick response and obvious care and concern for our comfort. I highly recommend renting from this owner and highly recommend this property.”

Quaint and clean historic home

Karla D. – Greensburg, Kentucky

(Review Submitted: July 18, 2017. Date of Stay: July 2017)

“Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Savannah and Jingle
Bells House. This is a 2 BR home, which was meticulously clean
with all the amenities that we needed. Kitchen was great, eating
area was nice, living room also served as a sleeping area with a
pull-out bed that seemed to be comfortable as our kids did not
complain. Nice tv’s in all rooms, 2.5 baths. We were able to walk
to just about everything we wanted to do while visiting. Parking
was right out the front door. This home is on a very quiet street and
we felt safe while staying here. The 2 bedrooms are located up the
stairs, so that would need to be taken into consideration if traveling with someone who may have trouble with the stairs. Thank you for a great stay!!”

AirBnB Review from Ruby Cougler

(Review Submitted: July 6, 2017. Date of Stay: July 2017)

“What an amazing home! The Richards have impeccable taste and the house is perfectly outfitted, located, and an absolute pleasure to return to after a long hot day touristing in Savannah. If I could live there I would! It’s a quiet residential neighborhood less than a half mile walk to most sites and restaurants. Their home was ideal for me, my husband, my sister and her two adult sons. We only stayed two days but hope to return for longer next time. Sidenote: Mirabelle is a classy cafe with excellent coffee and pastries just around the corner and across the street from the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist and we loved the food at Treylor Park.”

AirBnB Review from Carol Layer

(Review Submitted: June 23, 2017. Date of Stay: June 2017)

“There is a reason Richards is a super host! Jingle Bell House
Square put the “home” in home base for us during our 3 day trip to
Savannah. It was perfect. My husband and I traveled with another
couple and this house afforded us great comfort with each upstairs
bedroom having its own bathroom and shower access. Plus a powder room downstairs. The house is pristinely clean and looks to be very recently updated/renovated. It’s also rather eclectically and
artistically furnished and decorated and feels like a real home. The
back porch was a delight, looking out over very Savannah-like landscaping. The hosts have little notes posted (tastefully) around
the house w specific helpful instructions for use of electronics etc.
Everything was easy and everything was working perfectly.
Kitchen is well supplied with cooking utensils, etc. though with the
dining options in the city, we did not avail ourselves of much more
than the coffee maker. Location is excellent. Despite extreme heat
and humidity (wow), we walked everywhere, pretty much from the house to the furthest most corner of the historic area within 20-25 min at a very leisurely pace. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks to (and would recommend) The Collins Quarter for dinner and District 21 for lunch. Also happened upon Maté Factor coffee/tea house for light lunch and it was a highlight of our visit. It’s about a 10 min walk to Forsythe Park and maybe 15 to Broughton St. Never once got in our car which, btw, was street-parked right out front of the house for free. (It’s a quiet residential street). Can’t say enough positive things about JBSH and Savannah. We hope to return!”

AirBnB Review from Deb Hadskis

(Review Submitted: June 18, 2017. Date of Stay: June 2017)

“Spacious and gracious, two words that immediately pop into
my mind. This house is beautifully appointed, safe , secure and
delightfully located in the historic quarter of Savannah. Spotlessly
clean, abundantly provisioned with towels, sheets for the
hide-a-bed and extra blankets in case Savannah should ever
experience a cold snap. The ac functions perfectly. There are
charging ports. The kitchen is fully equipped. Televisions
abound…4 at last count! Parking is free on the street. Location is
quiet…about 25 minute stroll to the waterfront through many
shaded squares, past brilliant coffee shops(Collins Quarter to name
one) and only a few minutes to well stocked convenience shops.
Thank you so much Richards for your thoughtfulness.”

“Four girls traveled to Savannah for a get-away and stayed at
this lovely condo. It was simply wonderful. The location was
fantastic! We could walk to all the places we wanted to see. In the
mornings, the screened porch was a terrific place to have coffee

cozy spot to return to each day. No complaints!”

Perfect Little House

Rappongi27

(Review Submitted: May 23, 2017. Date of Stay: May 2017)

“Three of us stayed here for 3 nights in May 2017. This is a beautiful, restored house on a quiet tree lined street. There is also a separate cottage in the back yard which is rented separately (and judging from the reviews is also nice). There are two bedrooms, each with its own bath upstairs — note that the stairway is pretty steep. One of us choose to leave her luggage downstairs rather than drag it up. The kitchen is nicely equipped although we only used it for breakfast and coffee and such. (You are in Savannah. Go out to eat.) Our favorite part was probably the screened in back porch — nice to sit on! I don’t think you can easily walk to the touristy areas from here; so you may need a car. Overall, we loved it.”

“We went on a girl’s weekend and stayed here for 3 nights.
The house is a beautiful historic home with all the latest amenities.
It has a wonderful screened in deck which we used at night when
we returned home. The location was perfect. Close enough to walk
to River Street or Bay Street. Great shopping close by and great
restaurants. The property manager called to make sure that we were
happy with the home and if we needed anything. The neighbors
introduced themselves and were extremely friendly. When we
commented we would love to move there, they stated they would
love for us to do that. If I return to Savannah with others, I would
stay there in a heartbeat!”

“Loved this house! Attention to detail and cleanliness was 5
star. Master bed was very comfortable, furnishings updated,
kitchen stocked, perhaps a 15 minute walk to river, gourmet
grocery store literally a 2 minute walk, and big screen t.v.’s. Owner
was very accommodating and friendly. The back porch is lovely
and the kitchen is beautiful. Cute little street. There were some
homes being renovated on the street during our visit but it did not
interfere in any way with our stay. I actually appreciated the fact
that folks were updating their homes and investing in preserving
the area. Ate breakfast at diner just a few blocks away and was
spot-on! Stairs were somewhat steep, but it is a townhouse/brownstone and expected.”

“Such a cute, spacious, clean, comfortable, updated house! We loved our stay here:) Our teenage daughters were ready to move to Savannah and live in the Jingle Bell house (that says a lot!). There is a lot of walking to be done, so heads up on wearing comfy shoes!Unless you are sleeping on the (very comfortable) fold out couch downstairs, you’ll have to climb the stairs at night;-) Our family of four found this place nearly perfect, and it would fit two more people with no problems, just a couple more using the shower upstairs (the 1/2 bath downstairs is great…if there were room for a shower there, it would be perfection). We loved having the full size washer and dryer, too; makes coming home from vacation a bit less painful with no huge pile of clothes to wash! Thanks for a great vacation!!”

“We own our own beach vacation rental in FL, and know what it means to outfit a home for comfort, utility, and beauty. This one had it all. It was obvious great care was taken in the renovation, the design, and all the special touches. Everything looks new, towels super fluffy, any kitchen cooking appliance you’d want, and everything spotlessly clean – one of the cleanest rentals we’ve stayed in. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the screened in back porch. Truly delightful.”

“What a lovely place to stay in such a beautiful city as Savannah. The Jinglebell Square house had extra touches we have not experienced in other vrbo homes. Light switches were labeled. Amenities such as soap, toilet paper, dish soap, etc, were plentiful. It was clean and spotless. The upstairs was especially bright and cheery. The location made it easy to walk to most places since parking downtown was difficult over a holiday. The owner was great to work with and responded quickly to our queries. We would HIGHLY recommend this place to be your home-away-from-home in Savannah!”

Very clean, nicely decorated and every detail attended to. The location is easily accessible by walking to most everything in downtown Savannah. The host was responsive to all inquiries (not that I had many) and provided helpful information on sightseeing ideas prior to our trip. “This home was such a great deal for our group! 6 ladies on a bachelorette weekend and the home had everything we needed! The furnishings were nice & the home was very clean. There were soft fluffy towels for us to use & all the amenities of home. The location was a little removed from all the action of the city so it was nice & quiet. Do plan to do a lot of walking! Parking was so easy right on the street outside. That was a nice selling point for us as we travelled from multiple states. We loved our stay at JBS & do not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking!”

7 means complete!

(Review Submitted: July 2 2015. Date of Stay: June 2015)

“My family and I have come to Savannah every year for the past seven years to take a weeks vacation from our home in Alabama. Every year until now, we’ve stayed in the same home two blocks from Forsythe Park. We loved staying there, but this year we were too late and our usual digs weren’t available. We were forced to try something new, which made us very nervous…”

“We settled on Jingle Bell Square House because of the great pictures and good reviews, and I’m delighted to say as I write this on our last night, we love this place! My wife told me just this evening that she would rather come back here next time than go to the place we’ve gone all six times before. That’s saying a lot.”

“The house is beautiful and comfortable. We probably spent more time on the back porch talking and enjoying the view of the Beach Institute, an African American cultural center directly next door to us. The center has a gorgeous courtyard that we can see in all its glory from the very comfortable adirondack chairs on the back porch. The inside of the house is great. It is modern in all the right ways and traditional in all the ways that make a great Savannah home. The house sleeps 4 but can sleep six, and all six of us were more than adequately accomodated. And we found it very easy to get everywhere we needed to go from the home, plus it was far easier to find a parking space than at the other place we usually stay in.”

“We had one minor issue when we first arrived, but Kathy, the awesome property manager, took care of it immediately (thanks, Kathy!) and everything has functioned like clockwork since then. We are really looking forward to coming back next year if its available….”

“Well organised website and process make it easy to rent this well refurbished and equipped house with confidence. We stayed in various hotels and an apartment elsewhere, but JBS House made our stay in the US/Savannah special. The neighbourhood is pleasant, quiet and parking is a breeze, once you understand the weekly street cleaning schedule etc. We discovered late that a free bus stops at Troup Square, but it was easy and safe to walk into more central areas through the delightful, tree-filled streets and squares. And it helped us discover, e.g., J Christophers, the McDonough pub and Asian fusion restaurant [Fire] etc. Liberty Grill was near but relatively poor – average cooking and some appalling drinks. Avoid the river too for eating. Highlights were Leopold’s ice cream and the 80E Gastropub on the outskirts of Tybee Island, opposite the tourist info; it looks non-descript but the food and drink were excellent. There was a heatwave and the customisable in room AC was efficient. The porch was a delight for breakfast c/o Starbucks at Krogers, a short easy drive away.”

“My husband and I and two young adult sons traveled to Savannah for the first time this spring to explore the city. We all agreed the Jingle Bell house made our trip complete. Location was great. We could walk the city, come back for a break, make a snack and head back out rested and relaxed. Great restaurants nearby. The home was spotless. The unique artwork was set off by the recent remodeling which stayed true to the home’s original charm. Nice porch to have coffee in the morning. The owners were
very attentive and advised us of various events and “deals” going on in the area. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Wow, this house was STUNNING! I was in Savannah to celebrate with my bridesmaids, mother, aunt and future mother-in-law. The house is extremely clean, perfectly decorated and had everything you could ever need, especially in the kitchen. The location could not have been better, we walked everywhere we needed to go. The porch was great as well, we spent many hours sitting out there laughing. This house truly made the trip perfect for us! Thank you!”

“This house was perfect! The neighborhood was so cute and quaint. There were many places within walking distance, but the house was in a quiet area. Parking was easy, we never had an issue finding a spot. The house was clean, nicely furnished, updated and had all the amenities of a hotel. Our host provided us with plenty of recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. Would absolutely stay again!”

“Richards couldn’t have been a better host. All details about the house and the surrounding area were posted about the house. My family and I were quite comfortable. We kept saying, “He’s thought of EVERYTHING!!!” Richards made this a wonderful Easter weekend. I recommend this listing to anyone looking for serenity and southern charm. Bravo Richards!”

Wonderful Vacation!

“I stayed at the Jingle Bells House for 5 nights with 3 friends. We had fun walking to the many sights and returning home to this lovely, recently remodeled home. Everything we could possibly need was there including a beautiful screened-in back porch to enjoy the evenings. The on-site manager called us when we arrived and was available and friendly. The contract and business transaction with the owner were prompt and everything was exactly as stated. The location is perfect not only to see the historical sites in Savannah, but also feel like, at the end of the day, you have a place to go home to. We highly recommend the Jingle Bells Square House!”

Perfection!

“This property is beautifully furnished and perfectly sited for visiting historic Savannah. It sleeps 4 very comfortably and 6 if you use the top-of-the-range convertible sofa. We were 5 and there was plenty of room. A large kitchen/diner has all the equipment you could need including full oven and large ‘fridge and freezer. The characterful furnishings are entirely in keeping with the style of the house and you will immediately feel as though you are at home, rather than in a rental. Housekeeping standards are faultless. If you are a larger party of up to 10 people you can also rent the adjoining cottage with is similarly well appointed.”

Perfect Rental

“This property is the best example of comfort, convenience, and customer service. The layout of the house was perfect. The kitchen and dining area were open and conducive to meals and games. Period details were maintained (warning to people with bad knees, the staircase is daunting) , but every 21st century comfort was added. There were flatscreen TVs everywhere. The location was great, Savannah is such a great little city wish we had more time to explore. The owner provided tons of information ahead of time, and the house was user-friendly with light switches labeled, information posted, etc. There is guest cottage in back, making this a compound perfect for family and friend getaways. A pair of bikes would really enhance the experience. Thank you, Richards, for a wonderful stay.”

“Great place to stay when visiting Savannah. Gourmet kitchen with every thing you will need in utilities, cookware and appliances. Spices included. Eclectic decor with 2 working gas fireplaces. Very comfortable, spacious and cozy. Perfect location in the historical district….all restaurants and tours within a 1 mile walk. The only reason to use your vehicle is for excursions outside the city. Loved our stay here and will defiantly rent it again.”

Lovely property

“Our family of four adults spent our Christmas in this lovely property. It was very well appointed and clean. The extra half bath was a plus with four people, and the wifi and TVs kept the adult children happy. The tall steps might be tricky for little ones, but they were fine for us. The owners were very easy to work with and have great taste in decor. Thanks for a great stay!”
